RPK, Jail ? What happen next? Under the Penal Code the charge is bailaible but he refused to post bail. The Prosecutor must have offered the bail sum, I suppose it went unchallenge since RPK really want to spend time in jail. In case he change his mind, he can take the bail offer tomorrow or whenever he wishes.
RPK believe so much in freedom of speech and the freedom for bloggers to write whatever rubbish including "Pig Is Cute". He believe it so much to the extend of challenging the Government from time to time to put him in jail.
I have been to old Pudu Jail once just before it is closed to give way for development, so they say, nothing happen until today. I have been to Sg Buloh Prison, Kajang Prison, Muar and the well known hardcore convicts prison at Simpang Renggam. Let me tell you as a reminder, jail, prison is not a nice place, not at all, stay out of it.
Those who are on remand awaiting trial, whether it is for a month, a year, or even five years want to get out of jail. I am sure you remember, those who are smart, will do anything to breathe the air outside the prison.
There are many ways of doing it, the most common excuse is health, back pain due to slipped disk seems to work very well.
There is another alternative excuse, could be the best alternative excuse, tell those who visits you, "you need to get out of the prison immediately or someone is going to poison you."

It takes courage to go to jail for what one believes in. Mahatma gandhi, martin luther king, nelson mandela, aung sun suu kyi are a few of the courageous freedom fighters that come to mind. Imagine if all these people had just chosen to stay out of jail, like darihulu advises. Good people go to jail when those in power feel threatened. RPK has got his own principles and should be commended for his willingness to go to prison for his principles. He walks the talk.

Darihulu as i see it is an appeaser. He likes to appease people in power and who has wealth and kiss their hands. Maybe some wealth and power will come his way too? People like darihulu will of course want to stay out of jail. Otherwise he would be kissing arses in jail..something he would gladly do to avoid being hanged..

RPK is a joke...he writes rubbish...if he walks the talk then he would have published some of the opposing comments to the articles he writes about...but alas he is another coward scared of comments and critical opinions...we may not agree with the current government with many issues but what RPK writes is totally ridiculous...how can everyone in Barisan is an idiot to RPK...i dont think everyone in the opposition is stupid..having strong opposition is healthy..if RPK is so "pandai" why didnt he run for MP...its seems that almost anyone with a PKR ticket including monkeys could win..
